Mumbai, April 9, 2025 — Rumours about a rift between
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have resurfaced after the actor was spotted
at Mumbai airport without his wife. Instead, Abhishek was seen flying out of
the city early Tuesday with his mother Jaya Bachchan and niece Navya
Naveli Nanda.
Fresh from attending Maddock Films’ 20th anniversary
party the night before, Abhishek kept his look low-key for the travel. He
wore a beige jacket layered over a white hoodie, paired with black sweatpants.
Jaya Bachchan also opted for a casual ensemble — a denim shirt with black
trousers.
Navya Naveli turned heads with her new short haircut,
black-rimmed glasses, and a stylish striped cardigan, teamed with jeans and
bright red sneakers.
Aishwarya and Aaradhya's Absence Raises Eyebrows
Conspicuously missing from the airport scene were Aishwarya
Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya, sparking fresh speculation about
ongoing tensions in the Bachchan household.
Social media buzzed with questions. One user asked, “Where
is Aaradhya and Aishwarya?” while another commented, “When Abhishek is
with his mom, Aishwarya is not there, and when he is with Aishwarya, Jaya is
not there. I wonder why.”
Work Front: What’s Next for the Bachchans?
Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin
Selvan II and has yet to announce her next film project. Meanwhile,
Abhishek was last seen in the dance drama I Want To Talk, alongside Naseeruddin
Shah, Nora Fatehi, and Inayat Verma.
Up next, Abhishek will appear in Housefull 5, sharing
screen space with Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis
Fakhri, Riteish Deshmukh, Jackie Shroff, and more. The film
is slated for a 2025 release, although the exact date is yet to be revealed.
