Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, who became a mother
last year, recently shared a relatable moment that resonated with all new moms.
At a Forbes event in Abu Dhabi, she revealed her last Googled
question, which was about her daughter Dua's health—a common concern
for new parents.
Deepika’s 'Mommy Moment' at Forbes Event
During the event, Deepika was asked about the last thing she
searched for on Google. After a brief pause, she replied with a smile, "Definitely
some mommy question like ‘when will my baby stop spitting up’ or something to
that effect." Her response immediately struck a chord with countless
new moms who constantly search for answers to their parenting doubts.
Ever since Deepika and Ranveer Singh welcomed their
daughter Dua in September, they have kept her away from the public eye,
choosing not to reveal her face. However, Deepika frequently shares small
insights into her journey as a first-time mother, making her experiences
more relatable to fans.
Deepika’s Advocacy for Mental Health
Beyond her parenting journey, Deepika continues to raise
awareness about mental health—a cause she has passionately advocated for
over the years. During her interaction at PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe
Charcha 2025’, she revisited her battle with depression and shared
how she overcame one of the toughest phases of her life.
She recalled her struggles in 2014, saying:
"After school, there were sports, then modeling,
then acting—I worked continuously. One day in 2014, I passed out. A few days
later, I realized I had depression. Depression is something we can't see. It's
invisible. It's possible that people amongst us feel anxious or depressed, and
we never know because they’re smiling and greeting everyone."
Deepika admitted that for a long time, she kept her mental
health struggles to herself because she lived in Mumbai, away from her
family. However, she eventually sought professional help, leading her to start
her mental health foundation, Live Love Laugh (LLL), to support those
facing similar challenges.
What’s Next for Deepika Padukone?
On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD
and is set to appear in Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn and Ranveer
Singh. However, there has been no official announcement regarding her next
project after that.
Whether it’s discussing motherhood, mental health, or her
Bollywood career, Deepika continues to inspire millions with her authenticity
and openness. And just like any new mom, even a superstar like her turns
to Google for parenting advice—a moment that makes her even more relatable
to fans worldwide.
