heatwave, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain
and thunderstorms on Saturday, April 19. The city’s sky will be partly cloudy
during the day and become generally overcast by evening.
Gusty winds, lightning, and light dust storms are also
likely, with temperatures expected to dip slightly. The maximum temperature is
likely to hover around 38°C, while the minimum could fall to 26°C.
This weather trend may continue till April 20, with clearer skies predicted
from April 21.
Broader Weather Impact:
- Jammu
& Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh may see heavy rainfall,
snowfall, or hail on April 18 and 19 due to a western disturbance.
- Northeast
India, including West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur,
Mizoram, and Tripura, is also expected to receive heavy showers on
April 18.
- Rajasthan
continues to battle extreme heat, with relief expected only after April
20. Dust storms are also likely due to strong winds.
- Maharashtra,
Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh will experience hot and humid weather,
with rising temperatures predicted in central India over the next five
days.
