
Ed Sheeran once again amazed fans during his Bengaluru
concert by inviting Indian singer Shilpa Rao on stage to perform the Telugu
song Chuttamalle from Devara.
Taking to Instagram, Ed shared a behind-the-scenes video of
himself learning and practicing the Telugu lyrics before his performance. As he
introduced Shilpa to the cheering crowd, he said, "Please make some
noise for Shilpa Rao!" The duo then delivered a soulful rendition of Chuttamalle,
with Ed flawlessly blending into the Telugu vocals while playing the guitar. He
later expressed his admiration for Shilpa’s voice, saying, "Obsessed
with @shilparao’s voice for the last while, a real privilege to share the stage
tonight and learn a new language!"
Shilpa Rao also posted a video on her Instagram Stories,
showing Ed rehearsing the guitar chords and memorizing the Telugu lyrics. She
seemed impressed by how quickly he picked up the tune and delivered a seamless
performance.

Fans flooded the comments with appreciation for Ed’s
dedication to Indian culture. "The effort he’s putting into learning
different languages in India is amazing!" one fan wrote. Another
commented, "He tried his best, and it shows!" Many praised his
cultural respect, calling his efforts "incredible" and joking
that "Ed is officially Indian now!"
Currently in India for his Mathematics tour, Ed has
been embracing local music traditions. During his concerts, he even tried
playing the sitar with guidance from musician Megha Rawoot while performing Shape
of You.
Earlier, he performed in Chennai alongside A.R. Rahman, and
his India tour will conclude on February 15 with a final show in Delhi-NCR.
