Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has finally spoken
about the death threats he has been receiving from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
The actor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Sikandar,
addressed the issue at a recent press conference. Despite the looming
danger, Salman appeared calm and said that he has left everything to God.
Salman Khan on Death Threats: "Jitni Umar Likhi Hai,
Utni Likhi Hai"
During the press interaction, Salman Khan was asked about
the continuous threats he has been facing over the years. The actor, in
his usual composed manner, replied:
"Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai,
utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna
padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai."
(Translation: Everything is in the hands of God. I
will live as long as I am destined to. The only issue is that sometimes, I have
to move around with security, which becomes a problem.)
While his words reflected his fearless attitude, they
also hinted at the reality of living under constant security due to
serious threats to his life.
Why is Salman Khan Being Targeted?
The death threats against Salman Khan are linked to
the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case. The incident occurred while he was
shooting for Hum Saath-Saath Hain in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Salman,
along with co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam, was
accused of hunting endangered Blackbucks, which are considered sacred
by the Bishnoi community.
Ever since then, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his
associates have allegedly been seeking revenge. Bishnoi had once publicly
stated that Salman should apologize to the Bishnoi community, or he
would face the consequences.
Shooting Incident Outside Salman’s Home
In April 2024, the threats escalated when two men
on a motorcycle opened fire outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence.
The attack was later linked to Lawrence Bishnoi’s younger brother, Anmol
Bishnoi. The Mumbai Police arrested the attackers and confirmed that the murder
attempt was planned by the Bishnoi gang.
The situation worsened when former Maharashtra cabinet
minister Baba Siddique was assassinated in October 2024. The Bishnoi
gang claimed responsibility, stating that Siddique was targeted due to his
close ties with Salman Khan.
Salman Khan’s Security Tightened
Due to the ongoing threats, Salman Khan's security has
been significantly increased. The Maharashtra government provided him with Y+
category security, meaning he is now constantly surrounded by heavily
armed guards. His movements have been restricted, and he is advised
to avoid public appearances without police protection.
Despite this, Salman continues to live his life and focus on
his work. He has not let the threats affect his film promotions, showing
his determination and resilience.
Upcoming Film: Sikandar
Amidst all the controversies, Salman Khan is gearing up for
the release of Sikandar, an action thriller directed by A.R.
Murugadoss. The film features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal,
Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles.
The superstar is confident that the audience will enjoy the
film and has urged fans to support other releases as well, including Mohanlal’s
L2: Empuraan and Sunny Deol’s Jaat.

Salman Khan has faced many challenges throughout his
career, but he remains one of Bollywood’s biggest and most loved stars.

and fans.
His recent statement makes it clear that he has accepted
