A video of YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia being escorted by Assam police has gone viral, showing him being pushed and pulled by officers as he was led up a flight of stairs. The social media influencer, popularly known as BeerBiceps, appeared before the Guwahati Police Crime Branch on Friday in connection with the ongoing ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy.

Allahbadia’s Interrogation in Guwahati

Allahbadia arrived in Guwahati on Thursday night and was questioned for over four hours on Friday. The investigation was led by Joint Commissioner Ankur Jain, who stated that the YouTuber had cooperated with the police and responded to all questions.
"He has assured us of his full cooperation and will return to Guwahati if required," said Jain, as quoted by ANI.

The police are still awaiting the appearance of four more individuals linked to the case. According to officials, three show participants have informed authorities via email that they are currently out of the country. The police plan to send them fresh notices.

What Is the Controversy About?

Multiple cases were registered against Allahbadia and other YouTubers, including Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija, over comments made during an episode of 'India’s Got Latent'. Allahbadia’s remarks, which sparked public outrage, were deemed inappropriate by many.

The Guwahati Police filed an FIR on February 10 under various legal provisions, including the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), IT Act, Cinematograph Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Legal Proceedings and Court Observations

Although the Supreme Court granted Allahbadia interim protection from arrest, it criticized his statements as "vulgar", stating that he had a "dirty mind" that shamed society. Meanwhile, Ashish Chanchlani was interrogated on February 27, and the Gauhati High Court granted him interim bail on February 18.

With further questioning of other accused individuals still pending, the controversy surrounding ‘India’s Got Latent’ continues to unfold.
